Flour from Roztocze type 450 Cake

Flour from Roztocze type 450 Tortowa is made by grinding cereal grains. Mechanically grated grain creates flour, and the outer covering separated from it is called bran. The degree of grinding and the precision of separating the bran from the flour itself result in different types of flour, which can be divided into dark and light. Flour from Roztocze belongs to the group of light flours. They are ground more thoroughly than other types of flour, completely or partially devoid of bran, and usually smooth in structure.

What does the number next to the flour name mean?

This number indicates the mineral content of the flour. The flour sample is placed in a porcelain crucible and ashed for an hour in a special oven at a temperature of 95 0 C. The ash remaining in the vessel consists of mineral substances. The number specifying the type of flour is the percentage of ash in the total sample multiplied by 1000.

Cake Flour has a high degree of fineness, so it can be used for all kinds of baked goods: sponge cakes, puff pastries and cakes. It is also suitable for shortcrust pastries, cakes, waffles, waffles and pancakes. It is also suitable for thickening sauces, soups and creams.
Cake Flour has the appropriate granulation, thanks to which baking will be successful, and when added to the dumpling dough, it will become plump and firm.
Type 450 flour is characterized by a snow-white color due to careful selection of grains and obtaining flour endosperm from their central part. It contains a lot of gluten, vitamin B6 and PP and protein.
